City officials used the occasion to remind New Bedford households to review evacuation routes, stock emergency supplies, and monitor official channels for storm updates, according to a release posted to the city's official website. The announcement, distributed through the Mayor's office at 133 William Street, did not detail a specific storm threat but framed the effort as annual, proactive planning ahead of peak hurricane season.
