New Bedford Records 140 Property Transfers in Four-Week Stretch, Led by $1.05 Million Sale
New Bedford recorded 140 property transfers between Aug. 14 and Sept. 12, according to Bristol County (New Bedford District) Registry of Deeds records. Of those, 88 listed a disclosed sale price, ranging from $500 to $1,050,000, with a median of $451,500. The month's top sale was 760-764 Coggeshall St., which sold for $1,050,000 on Sept. 10. Acushnet Avenue was the busiest corridor with nine recorded transfers. More than a third of all transfers carried no disclosed price, many involving matching or related surnames on both sides of the deed, consistent with family or trust transfers rather than open-market sales.
