New Bedford Home Sale Tops $1.6 Million as September Recording Volume Holds Steady
New Bedford recorded 137 property transfers between Sept. 4 and Oct. 3, with 76 carrying a sale price at posting time. Prices ranged from $100,000 to $1,605,000, with a median of $440,000. The month's top sale was 53 Church St. at $1,605,000, sold by ICAFM Realty LLC to CT Real Property Group LLC on Oct. 2. A notable share of the remaining 61 transfers show matching grantor and grantee names, consistent with trust, estate or family transfers rather than open-market sales. One seller, New Bedford II Investment LLC, disposed of three properties within the period. Overall recording volume was active, though a sizable portion reflects non-sale transfers rather than new buyers entering the market.
